“Turkic World Dialogues: Shared Future, Shared Vision” Panel to be held in Tashkent

Ahead of the 13th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS), to be held in Ankara on 29–30 October 2026, the Directorate will organise a series of panels titled ''Turkic World Dialogues: Shared Future, Shared Vision'' in the OTS member and observer states.

The third event in the panel series will be held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, on 29 September 2026.

The programme, comprising a panel discussion and a press conference, will feature a video address by Head of Communications Prof. Burhanettin Duran. The opening remarks will be delivered by Prof. Sodiq Safoyev, First Deputy Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED), and Ufuk Ulutaş, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Tashkent.

The panel, moderated by Yusuf Özhan, Deputy Director General and Editor-in-Chief of Anadolu Agency, will feature as speakers Mirvohid Mirilyasovich Azimov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Prof. Hasan Ali Karasar, Rector of Cappadocia University; Ambassador Javlon Abdujalolovich Vakhabov, Deputy Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Foreign Policy and Director of the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA); and Prof. Fırat Purtaş, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University.

The panel programme, which aims to enhance the visibility of the OTS at the regional and global levels, communicate the Turkic world’s shared vision to different audiences, and strengthen academic, cultural and societal interaction among the countries, will also discuss expectations for the 13th OTS Summit to be held in Ankara.
