Head of Communications Duran: “Striving for a world where racism finds no place is a shared responsibility of humanity”

Presidency’s Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran commemorated the Turkish citizens who lost their lives in the racist attack carried out in Solingen 33 years ago in a message posted on his NSosyal account.

In his post, Head of Communications Duran stated:

“I commemorate with mercy and prayers our citizens who lost their lives in the racist attack carried out in Solingen 33 years ago. Despite the years that have passed, the pain of that tragedy remains etched in our memories.

I also remember with mercy Mevlüde Genç, known as ‘Wise Mother,’ who, despite losing her loved ones, was always remembered for her wisdom and dignified stance. Her message of unity and solidarity continues to serve as an important example for everyone today.

Striving for a world where racism, xenophobia and Islamophobia find no place is a shared responsibility of all humanity.”
