Global leaders, diplomats, and experts are set to gather in Istanbul later this month for the STRATCOM Summit, a major international forum organized by Türkiye’s Presidential Directorate of Communications. The summit will take place on March 27–28, 2026, at a time of heightened geopolitical tensions and rapidly evolving global crises.
Held under the global brand STRATCOM Summit, the two-day event aims to bring together heads of state, ministers, policymakers, and leading scholars to discuss the future of the international order, strategic communication, and the management of emerging global challenges.
The summit opens with a high-level session featuring Cevdet Yılmaz, Vice President of Türkiye, and Hakan Fidan, the country’s foreign minister, alongside a number of senior diplomats.
The first day will focus on how strategic communication shapes the evolving global order. A flagship panel titled “New Framework in the Global Order” will be moderated by Kubanıçbek Ömüraliyev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States. The session will feature representatives from Azerbaijan, Syria, Bangladesh, and TRNC, who will discuss shifting power dynamics and the role of communication in shaping international narratives.
Later sessions will turn to leadership diplomacy and mediation efforts, with participants from Qatar, Libya, and Egypt sharing insights on conflict resolution and regional diplomacy.
As part of its broader agenda, the summit will also address climate diplomacy and the digital transformation of public opinion. A dedicated session will feature Prof. Dr. Ramon SALAVERRIA from University of Navarra, who will discuss global climate governance and communication strategies.
The first day will conclude with discussions on what many observers describe as a growing crisis of legitimacy and trust in international institutions, as well as a panel examining the intersection of women’s issues, migration, and social policy.
The second day of the summit will begin with remarks from Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. Regional security will then take center stage during a panel focused on Iran, followed by sessions exploring what participants describe as a “new normal” in global governance marked by persistent crises and instability.
Taking place against the backdrop of intensifying geopolitical tensions, the STRATCOM Summit is expected to serve as a key platform for dialogue on the challenges shaping the global order and the role of communication in managing crises and fostering international cooperation.
