President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a message on his NSosyal account on the occasion of the 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
In his post, President Erdoğan noted:
“I congratulate all our youth on the 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, and extend my greetings and affection to all young people living in our country and abroad. I commemorate with respect Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the Commander-in-Chief of the National Struggle, his comrades-in-arms, and the heroic members of our military. I remember with mercy our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our nation and wish our veterans a healthy and prosperous life."
Meanwhile, the Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, shared a message marking the 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
In the post he shared on his NSosyal account, Head of Communications Duran stated:
“19 May symbolises a nation’s determination, faith and resurgence in its struggle for independence. The torch of independence lit in Samsun swiftly became the most powerful symbol of our nation’s struggle for independence, through the collective will of our people.
The determination, diligence and devotion of our youth to their country constitute one of the most important pillars of the goal of a powerful and great Türkiye. The achievements they demonstrate in science, technology, sports and every sphere of life give us even greater hope for the future.
I commemorate with mercy and gratitude all the heroes of our National Struggle, especially Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and extend my congratulations on the 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.”
