Head of Communications Duran: “If our country is referred to as ‘Safe Haven Türkiye’, it is because of our stance that prioritises humanity”

A large number of ministers, politicians, journalists, and representatives of civil society supported the initiative carried out by our Directorate under the hashtag “Safe Haven Türkiye.” While the posts shared as part of the campaign quickly became a trending topic on social media, it was observed that the hashtag reached a wide audience.

The initial post shared by Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, received significant interaction in a short time, while the video prepared as part of the campaign was also reshared by thousands of users.

In his post, Head of Communications Duran said:

“The recent statements made by our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, regarding regional and global developments clearly declare that coming together around unity, brotherhood, and shared values is a historic responsibility.

If our country is referred to as ‘Safe Haven Türkiye', it is because of our stance that rejects racial, sectarian, religious, and linguistic divides and prioritises the common denominator of humanity. Türkiye continues to strongly support the global language of peace, justice, and compassion over the language of hatred and conflict. In this regard, our nation remains the 'Key to Peace', standing for stability amid the clamour for chaos and war.

As our President has indicated, our country takes a brave position in speaking the truth, standing up for the oppressed, and assuming responsibility for global peace. As in the past, it now stands out for its sensible and principled policies that accurately interpret regional and global trends.

With this approach, we will continue to support the oppressed wherever they are and use all of our resources to promote peace and stability, guided by our humanitarian and conscientious stance."
